SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 1ST Rodeo Starts at - 7:00pm
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND Rodeo Starts at - 1:30pm

Friday August 31 is "Tough Enough to
Wear Pink" day.
The Okotoks Pro Rodeo is held annually and in 2007
we are celebrating our 16th year. Our non-profit Rodeo is produced
entirely by volunteers. We host contestants and visitors from all
parts of Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and
Australia. We take over the Town of Okotoks with western themed
events and activities for the whole family.
Rodeo is a part of a very unique lifestyle, a tradition handed
down from our forefathers who developed various events and evolved
them into competitions of individuals and animals competing against
their neighboring ranches to see whose ‘outfit’ had
the most skilled cowhands and the best animals. The Okotoks Pro
Rodeo brings the same competition, skill and excitement to our guests
for you to see how a part of the west was won.
We are sanctioned by the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association
– CPRA, with co-sanctioning by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association - PRCA.
Our rodeo is one of the last qualifying and important stops for
contestants vying to qualify for the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR)
- held in the late fall of each year.
Our volunteers put on the greatest indoor rodeo on the professional
circuit with nine (9) exciting events:
Bare Back
Barrel Racing
Bull Riding
Tie Down Roping
Saddle Bronc
Steer Wrestling
Team Roping
Wild Horse Race
And of course the perennial crowd favorite – Mutton Bustin
Please see our events page for more detail
We promise 3 action packed days guaranteed to entertain young and
old alike.
Tickets will be available through our Okotoks Pro Ticket Hotline
– 403-938-1518 (after July 1st, 2007), or in person at our
Rodeo Ticket Office starting August 17th, 2007. Our ticket office
is located across from the Information Desk of the newly renovated
Okotoks Recreation Centre (111 Milligan Drive) and will be open
on August 17th, 2007. Visit our tickets
area for more information on ticket prices and the hours of service
of our ticket window.
Please see our contact page for information
on Advertising, Sponsorships or if you have any questions.
Our volunteers and executive board members would like to thank all
our advertisers and sponsors – who without their generous
assistance we could not produce our Rodeo. Please visit our Sponsors
and Advertisers page and when you do shop – please give these
generous sponsors your patronage.
We are volunteer driven and run - thus any realized funds after
expenditures are put back into the community through disbursement
to service groups and clubs – so they may contribute to community
programs.
