Aaron Courchesne has accomplished the first part of her life long ambition. She was crowned the 2007/2008 Miss Rodeo Okotoks on the September long weekend.
Aaron is 23 years old and lives on an acreage near Claresholm, Alberta where she takes care of her many animals.
Aaron is currently competing in barrel racing with her horse "Hope" and has participated in 4-H, local horse shows, amateur rodeos and gymkhanas as well has shown Percherons during the Calgary Stampede.
She graduated in 2003 from NAIT with a major in horsemanship and Alberta College of Paramedics in 2006 as an Emergency Medical Responder.
As Miss Rodeo Okotoks, Aaron is passionate about helping people and using her values to impact young children to have good morals and family values. She feels "the more you give, the more you want to give and that is a wonderful feeling".

Sharyl Malin was crowned MISS RODEO OKOTOKS 2006/2007
during Sunday’s performance of the Okotoks Pro Rodeo
held during the September long weekend. CONGRATULATIONS Sharyl!!!
Sharyl has lived on an Okotoks area farm all of her 22 years
and graduated from Foothills Composite High School in 2003.
As a volunteer, she’s been the athletic trainer and
equipment manager for local hockey and football teams, participated
in Operation Christmas Child and the Food Bank, as well as
being an amateur figure skating coach. She has been a member
of the Calgary Stampede Show riders for 5 years, a member
of beef, sheep and horse 4-H clubs and the Okotoks Figure
Skating club.
Sharyl is hoping to pursue a career in legal studies as well
as carrying on the tradition of the family farm. She loves
the sport of rodeo and is has been honored to represent Town
of Okotoks and the Okotoks Pro Rodeo.
The 2005/2006 Okotoks Pro Rodeo Queen is Jeanette Buckland.

Jeanette Buckland is a 20 year old college student working
towards her Bachelor of Applied Justice Studies. She is the
6th Generation to reside on the family homestead. Jeanette
is a former Calgary Stampede Showrider, and has been a member
of the Millarville Musical Ride since 1999. Being a part of
the Calgary Stampede Showriders gave her the opportunity to
be a representative for Canada as well as the only International
entry into the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade. Jeanette has also
been a flag bearer for rodeos and special events throughout
Alberta, British Columbia and the United States. This year
at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo Jeanette was awarded the Miss Congeniality
Award along with the Horsemanship Award. She looks forward
to representing the Okotoks Pro Rodeo with her new title of
Miss Rodeo Okotoks 2005.
MISS RODEO OKOTOKS 2004/2005, is Jenni Malin.
She was crowned at the final performance of the Okotoks rodeo,
Sunday afternoon, and she is very honored to carry the title
of MISS RODEO OKOTOKS. She also earned the awards of PUBLIC
SPEAKING, HORSEMANSHIP, AND MISS CONGENIALITY.,during this
competition.
Jenni is a registered massage therapist, a alumni member of
the Calgary Stampede Showriders for which she was honored
the Prestigious white Hat Award in 1997. She is also a alumni
member of the 4-H program, to which she won many awards, public
speaking, and judging. She was also a former member of the
ALBERTA BARREL RACING ASSOCIATION.
Jenni, is a third generation member of her family farm, with
it's values and and traditions. Jenni, is a proud ambassador
for the community, the rodeo way of life, and the western
lifestyle. Jenni, is looking forward to promoting the community
of Okotoks and surrounding areas, and our western heritage.and
the rodeo way of life. Jenni, is very excited and looking
forward to the new experiences of being Miss Rodeo Okotoks
